Algosys was first known as a world leader in data reconciliation by material balancing in mineral processing industries. Today, with a team that combines the knowlege of its high-level scientists and the industrial experience of its project managers, Algosys has positioned itself as a leader in the development of software solutions and products in data reconciliation, process control, mass balancing and both production accounting and metallurgical accounting.
Algosys was established in 1992, based on technology that the Government of Canada has been promoting since the beginning of the 1980s. Since then, Algosys has developed technologies that are now proven to be efficient and that only require to be configured for the specific needs of each client.
Algosys’ solutions and products can be divided into two specific fields: data reconciliation and process control.
Algosys' Bilmat™ is currently used in over 200 sites around the world andit is still the most robust data reconciliation engine in the world.
Algosys has implemented its Metallurgical Accountant™ and Production Accountant™ metallurgical accounting and production accounting solutions at, among others, Antamina in Peru and Suncor in Alberta, Canada, where they provide cost savings and real production benefits.
Data Reconciliation
As the developer of the Bilmat™ data reconciliation engine as well as the Metallurgical Accountant™ and Production Accountant™ suites for automated metallurgical accounting and production accounting with reconciled data, Algosys offers a unique turnkey solution to any mass balancing or process data reconciliation problem. The Bilmat Real-time™ version offers, by generating reliable measurements and indicators, a new and imaginative approach to production optimization and real-time instrumentation monitoring.
Process Control
The process control solutions of the Les logiciels Axiomatic™ suite (SimAxion™ and DynAxiom™ for tuning PID controllers and Control Loop Attendant™ for monitoring control loop performances), allow businesses to rapidly and easily achieve and maintain best process performances.
Because businesses’ productivity depends on this, Algosys’ products are easy to operate and are designed to favour the continuous improvement and monitoring of processes. By maintaining improved performances, businesses can reduce production variability, raw material loss, reagent consumption and rejects. Also, by monitoring performances, they can avoid premature wear and equipment breakdown which always result in costly unplanned shutdowns.
